Yamaha DTXTREME / Roland SPD-S along with Macbook (Ableton Live)
Elektrocurrent utilizes modern sampling technology using Ableton Live during live performances. Elektrocurrent’s core consist of Charlie Finlay (saxophones/sample director), a multi instrumentalist, aspiring film / television composer, and Colin Kingsmore (electronic drums). The trio records and loops during live performances. Bass parts, extra horn/vocal harmonies, and other instruments are pre-recorded and triggered/modified by using Ableton Live. All three of the band mates' macbooks are synced up which provides them with the capabilities to trigger any loop or sample at will in a live setting.
